Need a change in direction but genuinely stuck as to what!

Well, as I look forward to returning to work following a brief break away I'm realising that I really do want to look at changing career direction.
I currently work as a Team Manager in a huge call centre, graduated in Business Management a couple of years ago.
I've got no "specific" skill set such as law, computer programming etc. and that's where I think I'm going wrong, I deliberately took a generalist degree as I didn't know what I wanted to do upon graduating. I then went on to get promoted at my weekend job and it swiftly became my career.
The problem I've got is that whilst I can turn my hand to anything, and my current role has given me excellent experience of managing people, processes, communication, problem solving etc. none of this seems to qualify me for anything more specialised (or well paid, I am reasonably comfortable at the moment and don't particularly want to have to start from scratch on £12K again)
The only option that I can seem to see within my current employer is to try and take a sidestep and then upwards via a different route within the company. For example one of my colleagues started on Health and Safety as a side step and now works in that field full time, I guess this will give further opportunity to progress in the future.
Anyone else found themselves in this situation? What did you do?
Does anyone have any fantastic ideas for alternative careers?

Erm, I'm quite boring actually, my big passion is my cars, I spend quite a bit of time detailing mine sometimes, learning new techniques etc. but can't see myself making a business of it because I simply don't think I could earn enough doing it, I do really need to do some research into this though!
Apart from that, I haven't really got many interests that could easily be a money spinner, I've done car sales previously and to be honest would only go back to it if I lost my job or something, definitely more of a backup option.
Within my current job, the bits that interest me the most are communications (successfully getting large numbers of staff to actually take notice of briefings etc.), analysing processes and looking for ways to improve them or just develop from scratch (love it if I find a new way to do something that no one else has thought of!), the bit I'm not as keen on but can still do successfully is the actually managing of people.
