Wotsits on a diet?

Been on my diet now for a few days and missing the crisps. Come mid afternoon I'm starving.
Noticed things like Quavers and Wotsits are only about 99 calories a bag. Are they ok every now and then or are they really full of false promises and fat that'll hinder any chance of weight loss?

Agree - everyone needs some treats now and again.I'd stick to normal crisps (or get healthy choice ones, if you must) - in moderation.

I am on a low GI, no carbs diet, have been for two weeks. I have stopped all snacking too, so crisp withdrawal is pretty hard. BUT, I am losing half a KG a day, and I'm still stuffing myself silly with certain foods, just no carbs. I haven't compromised on beers, I'm doing no exercise and no change in drinking habits. But shedding weight like no-ones business. Even bacon, sausages and eggs are limitless. Best diet ever!

No carbs (except for beer). So no bread, pasta, rice, potatoes, or any other root type veg like carrots, no pizza, cakes, biscuits, etc etc etc. I've cut out sugars, even fruit is a no no. That and no snacking is having quite an effect.

Not good for me long term I'm sure. But for a couple of months to lose a few stones, get rid of my belly and shrink a couple of jean sizes down, it'll do.
Already my belly has gone from being a heavy lumpen mass that is in the way, to something squishy and lightweight, and I'm tightening my belt and my shirt is hanging out all the time, so it's clearly starting to dissolve.
I have bought into the science behind the whole Atkins, South Beach, low GI thing. It's carbs that make you fat, not fat (or calories per se).
Stuffing myself silly with all sorts of nice scrummy food too, just no carbs and nothing sugary. Having read various books and websites on the subject, I'm working my own hybrid version of no carb and low GI.

I've been having slim fast shakes for breakfast and lunch this week and even though I actually think they taste great they're not quite hitting the spot, surprise, surprise.
So is it basically loads of cheese, eggs, nuts, all meat, salad? Doesn't sound too bad at all.
