I'm probably in a minority with my views on Ferraris. I appreciate some are great cars, most look ok, f12 isa bit loopy. But given the means I just don't aspire to ever own any other than an F40 or 50.
I know the modern ones are great cars, but they do nothing for me whatsoever, despite the fact I admire their capabilities.

I'd give a (original) Dino garage space too.
My first fast car experience at 13 was in a Dino 246GTB (it was fast then!). A gorgeous car then and now. Had the chance to buy one in 1980 for £5k (a years income)!
A good Dino is £300k+ now. Performance is that of an Audi TT, but man a Dino does look like sex on wheels.

BTW. F40 for me too, along with the Dino!

Never driven an F50 so not sure about the overall package (Though I'd have one in a heart beat).
Drove an F40 to Birmingham and it was an occasion (all be it LHD which I hate) I bought an M400 Noble a few years later and it reminded me of the F40 in the way it drove, (though low rent, and nowhere near the race pedigree that went into the F40)

I have friends in my offroad racing circles that go racing in france with that car from france, great noise, but not much low down torque, need to keep it revingI do the same type of racing like that in the Uk, my race car has a LS3 with around 550bhp, great engine, strong, reliable, very fast, loads of low down torque, great mpg even when racing, all round great engine, plus its really cheap, so my gtr will get a ls, with out a doubt
The French Tout Terrain rallies don't require torque in the same way that UK events do. The cars are much lighter than their UK counterparts, pretty much all have small capacity high revving engines with sequential gearboxes. Larger engines are so heavily penalised with weight penalties and restrictors that they can't be competitive.
