The Sub is immense, I can never run it full as its far too much.

Would suit a club, I have always said Sonos need to make one that is half the price and half the power. It would still be enough.

I am looking at selling all my Sonos including sub, playbar, play1's on flexon stands.

If anyone is looking for Sonos and will be in or around Holland in March, one of the large online stores over here is doing Sonos with a 10% discount.

PM me for details smile

Just bought a play 1 for the kitchen through salary sacrifice... still at the old price. Result.

Any of you Sonos experts able to answer a question...

I have 2 play5's running stereo with the sub. These will be moved into a new open plan kitchen/Diner when it is built.
I also have a playbar which will run in the same area, independently of the 5's.

Will I be able to also pair the sub with the playbar when watching TV as well as using the existing 5's and sub when listening to music? Obvs not at the same time?

I think I understand what you mean..

If you have a forced group of play5's and the sub you will not be able to use the sub with the playbar if it is not in the group already.

Your best bet is to pair the Play5's as a stereo pair and add the sub to the playbar or the stereo pair. (I think you can join a sub to the stereo pair anyway).

Hope that helps.

Could you not have them all as a group and mute the ones you don't want to hear?

A group would mute as one. Once it is grouped it acts as one speaker/zone.

Not on my system it doesn't. You can alter each volume separately either in the app or on the device itself.

I don't have a sub or a playbar though so not sure how they work.

Pretty certain that you can mute the different zones in a group independently. But the sub won't actually appear as part of the group, as it will be considered inclusive as part of what it is paired to.

To clarify my post you can't independently alter the volume of a stereo pair.

Exactly

Playbar and Sub, and two play1/5 paired, can't be adjusted independently once paired.

If it is grouped you can mute individual items in the group.

Not sure if a sub can be a zone in it self though. I think it needs to be paired to part of the system.

Ok, you mixed up groups and pairs in your previous post. Hence the clarification.

Have Sonos now stopped selling the Play 1 (x2) Starter Packs?

Had a quick look online but it looks like I need to buy two Play 1's on their own instead now. Is that right?

Thought a twin pack would be less than £399.98.

Following the price increase, I'd imagine that's probably right.

The best I could find in 30 seconds was this https://www.ukdapper.co.uk/home-electronics/hi-fi-...

Cheers, that's £30 saved right there. It didn't come up in my results so I'll have another play with Google later.

First results came back with a twin-pack that cost £499, over £100 more than buying two seperately.
