Suits - on Dave
Discussion
I really dunno where season 6 is going to go. few thoughts i've had floating about my head:
- zane takes on pearson, specter, litt, he seems to becoming more involved, dunno if this is just because of rachel (seems highly unlikely though)
- the firm go after the rail company, which in turn sees them change from big corporate structure, to helping the little people with worthwhile cases, seeing they appear to have made decent wealth already.
- mike studies law degree/ passes the BAR while in jail, comes out becomes a named partner and they take on the world
- scotty comes back from london after her firm buy them out and save them

I don't see how Mike will become pass the BAR as he'd have to pass the ethics test that was mentioned last episode for Rachel.
The Scotty angle is interesting in that they madr a big play earlier about only practicing law in new york where the big boys are. Could Mike gain a law degree elsewhere and work in London maybe?
Agreed Robert Zane is becoming more central to the story, with the knowledge Jessica will be leaving he could be the big bad rival or the saviour. I'd love to see Rachel and Mike split up, with Rachel working for her father as opposing council vs Harvey and Mike.

The whole deal being agreed by a competent lawyer thing was interesting.
Yes at that stage he was innocent but given he was then guilty and it open up possibilities for cases to be reopened could his own case not be reopened as there was no qualified lawyer seeing his side of the deal?

However way you look at it:
The company's name is now mud
The directors' names are mud
No company in its right mind would use PSL
No company in its right mind would have anything to do with any senior employee of PSL
Mike will never pass the bar due to the ethics committee issue
Whatever irregularities could be dug up, Mike has confessed and there's no way round that
I feel any series 6 would be almost like starting a new show or would make a mockery of it by digging the team out of the 'end'. The show has run well and come to an inevitable conclusion IMO. Who would have thought that HS' decision would ultimately bring the entire company down??! Its a 'sad' end but at least a different one too.

According to the writers, season 6 will continue on exactly from where season 5 left off. So none of this jumping backwards and forwards in time crap (which really gets on my moobs)
Season 6 should be called JumpsuitsI think they've fked the whole show.
(Hope I'm wrong though, as it was one of the best progs on TV.)
Mike might pass the ethics test if he said he did the time to save other 'innocents' being pursued, especially if, for instance, Harvey could find some dirt on Ms Gibbs and convince the bar she's a vindictive cow intent solely on bringing down PSL rather than fighting for justice. Mike also might pass if he can convince them he's a reformed character, prison has worked, rehabilitated him, he's keen to do well for the underprivileged etc etc.
He could then return to PSL in that role to put a caring face on the firm. PSL shouldn't be finished anyway, why would they - their results speak for themselves and if it means the corporate giants are billions better off they'll use them. I also think the building being empty is a red herring - it's probably just later than everyone thought and they've actually gone home as it's Friday night! I think Robert Zane might be a bit of a recent herring too - I think his involvement will solely centre around whether he thinks it'll affect Rachel and if she does well as a lawyer at PSL he'll be concentrating more on splitting Mike and Rachel up. Plus, I think, somewhere it'll come out that it was Rachel's mum that shopped Mike.
I also expect to see Daniel Hardman and Julia Roberts' brother plus Scottie and maybe one or two others keep popping up too, as they have done throughout previous series, and that's series plural not singular.

Might he argue that he entered a guilty plea to protect the others, not necessarily because he was admitting anything? Antony Moxey said:

She did say "They've all gone", though. Seemed from previous episodes that there was always someone there no matter what time of night it was.My guess is that there will be some technicality to get Mike out earlier than the two year sentence, whether it gets drawn out to an entire half-series like this one did is the question. If they can't think of anything, all the writers need is to think up something quick to call Gibbs' actions into question - some sort of indiscretion that happens outside the action, then he's out on a mistrial and back to normal.

Hmmm, still not seeing any way out. Too many people know he never passed the BAR. Rachel's Dad knows it too and that's going to be challenging enough on its own. Any 'excuse' is only going to perpetuate the situation. Honestly, short of him doing a 'Bobby Ewing' I cannot see any way out of this and do worry that the next series will be a bit farcical and one where we all end up saying 'should have just left it after series 5.'

As much as I love it and want it to continue, I agree. It could have been a good overall ending him getting his comeuppance. In the end we were routing for the 'bad guys' after all - he was guilty.Edited by p1stonhead on Monday 14th March 10:32
Well, he could study in prison and pass the Bar maybe?
PSL's "Harvard only" policy is likely to be worth nothing now their reputation has gone. In terms of the series, I think they'd run about as far as they could with the "will they find Mike out?" plot lines. They could transition to a regular lawyer/courtroom drama now - after all, it's always been about the character interaction rather than the initial "fake lawyer" premise.

The Harvard only policy is out the window anyway isn't it - Rachel's not studying at Harvard (although admittedly she's not employed as a full on lawyer yet).
I still think we could see Mike take a law degree inside and then be accepted as being rehabilitated inside and keen to do work helping others when he gets out, thus giving him a way back to PSL as well as showing the world PSL's humanitarian side as a way of repairing their damaged reputation.
How you work all that tosh into an entertaining story in the mound of previous Suits episodes is a mystery though, and, as an aside, I'm not happy with how they've turned Harvey into a touchy freely cry baby, he was so much better as a wise arse don't give a f*** get it done I'm better than you and we both know it sharp lawyer of the early series.
