This is like blaming an insolvency practitioner for the hardship endured on the workforce when the company directors borrowed the company to the hilt to pay for coke and hookers instead of investing in the future of the company

Labour government was the equivalent of enron, spending future notional profits to buy market approval today, now you want to blame the people left to pay the bill?

labours alternative solution of borrowing even more until we became a IMF basket case like Greece is more appealing to you?

It's the social governments buying off the unproductive voting masses with over generous social net that got us here, some thatcher free enterprise Darwin adapt or die economics are the solution, china, korea et al have no safety nets and GDP surplus.

Investing in enterprise and wealth creation is the only answer, not nipping down to cash converters to sell off more of the future to support failed socialist bribe policies for underclasses that will drag our GDP down to Zimbabwe levels left unchecked

And theres another party out there with a better idea ?

No, thought not.
UKIP I have read the manifesto and all seems good to me, much better than CMD's "Let's give loads of money to my FIL" policy

Sorry, is there a point to all this? confused

Career politicians in self-serving behaviour shock. Happens in parties of all colours - the problem is the system not the colour of the tie.

At least he resigned - not the sort of thing that would be expected from the other mob.

This thread is going nowhere other than troll land.

So what's your solution, another 13 years of Labour?

No thankyou.

I'd rather go to hell in a fking hand cart with the current bunch.

Of course if UKIP could get a meaningful act together..

That will be a businessman exploiting existing legislation to make money? You and I might think that the FIT rules are ruinous, asinine and corrupting but the fact remains it's a neu-arbeit legacy. Hopefully it will be addressed in the fullness of time and got rid of in favour of something more pragmatic. UKIP; Farage is still my favourite swivel-eyed demagogue but he's never going to be more than a side show unless CMD grows an extra head and reveals himself as the bd lovechild of Mandelson and Blair.

Nurse! Nurse! The screens! He's out of bed again!

If Labour was still in power we would be staring down the barrel of Greek like collapse as they would continued to spend money that they never even had in the first place. They were a bunch of totally corrupt liars & cheats, who bought the voters of lazy chavs on benefits, council workers employed to move paper around & new arrivals into this country who they were able to take election advantage of through the introduction of postal votes.
And don't forget these are the same people who were taking this country down a political correct primrose path to climate change taxation/speed camera/road tolling/satellite monitoring BS which would have made it impossible for you to enjoy driving, which lets face it should be the only reason you are on this site in the first place.

So no I'm not embarassed. I thank my lucky stars we are no longer under the leadership of that insane Scottish control freak & the feminist lunatic Harman. The only thing I'm annoyed about the new government is that they haven't been able to take a chainsaw to the BBC becuase of the LibDems.
The sooner that bunch of leftwing media luvvies is sorted out the better.

And be replaced by what? At least the Tories realise there is another generation, and spending their inheritance now for a quick gain is a bad idea. Labdem will just increase the credit card limit and hire more bottom inspectors.

The Tories are the least worst.

Nipping down to Cash Converters is a good analogy.

Selling the family silver is how The Tories make do.

Can you justify the current council house sell offs and the buttfking of the greenbelt.

What is the alternative? If you vote for anyone else you end up with labour back in and they're the reason for most of the problems we now face.

Yes, the Toffs didn't get enough votes to form a government on their own.(Christ, how much worse would that have been)
Didn't work out so well when the Labour toffs formed a government either.

Just about the only credible non-toff in the Labour government was Prescott - what a fine example of a politician he is!
