Why does communism get a pass? You would never see an MP saying that Hitler did more good than bad, but it has been said about Mao despite causing 5 times more deaths. Bonkers.
Which MP's have said that about Miao?
Abbott.

I don't think it's about Abbott specifically, more the general climate of it being not particularly unacceptable to say.

Can you provide an example of a far-left social media page/group that spreads hate, attacks or calls for the exclusion of others on the basis of who they are?

Have there been any incidents where someone subscribing to far-left ideology has embarked on mass-murder?

I'm genuinely ignorant on whether they have as all of the incidents I'm aware of have been attributed to the far-right.
If you mean individuals or groups, as opposed to whole states, you probably need to go back to the RAF (Baader-Meinhof) in Germany in the 1970s.

What has Momentum posted on social media that spreads hate, attacks or excludes?

Assuming you're referring to anti-semitism, something Momentum has condemned and recognises as an issue that needs to be dealt with.

Spend a few minutes on any of the Momentum groups on social media, and it doesn't take long to find abusive or offensive comments about Tories, the Rich, Bankers, Trump, Brexiteers etc.

But that is all #kindergentlerpolitics, so I guess it's OK.

I'm not sure I have too much of an issue of people calling for the exclusion of fascists from society.

The tolerant must not be tolerant of the intolerant.

It's a necessary paradox.

Doesn't that just reinforce their beliefs?

I don't think hiding the nastiness is going to work.

By curtailing frivolous and "fighting" words, the Party seeks to narrow the range of thought altogether, such that eventually, thoughtcrime will be literally impossible.

It's like that's the goal, if you hide it well enough people won't be able to form those viewpoints. Except of course they can, because you can't stop people from talking to each other. It should be out in the open and challenged, not hidden away.

I was waiting for someone to mention Antifa. You are absolutely right, it's unbelievable that they haven't been banned.
That are predominantly American, I was looking for an example of British based far-left groups since the news on the ban currently name British far-right.

Again, Momentum aren't promoting hate, attacks o'r exclusion. Far-right groups do. Abusive and offensive comments by followers do not represent the point of view or opinion of the group itself.

The point of not being tolerant of fascism is not to eradicate it, it is to prevent its insidious messages from being widespread. Fascism encourages intolerance. It preys upon the primal, tribal instincts of "us vs them". Most people are not fascists, but they can be influenced into supporting it when exposed to the propaganda.
