A decent salary is fine, paying expenses is fine (they are expenses afterall, not bonuses).
The one i find a little odd is that they get vast amounts to kit out a second house - presumably they have to give these things back, in the same way as i would give my laptop/co. car back if i left my work? But that doesn't really work as you can't give back a kitchen/decoration easily.....
