I see lots and lots of full jail cells.

Do G4S still run prisons? Might buy some shares.
Going by the sentences dished out to the last group that chained themselves to the runway, I wouldn't get your hopes up.
Hopefully some scaffolder type people will take exception to their easter holls being disrupted by these morons and take some appropriate action biggrin

She is a ridiculous woman. About 2 or 3 years ago this moron showed up to show her support for the anti fracking "nana's" (basically grannies who supported the anti frackers) these venerable old bags approached it from a commune type of approach erecting tents and distributing cakes. All very new age
Anyway granny thommo showed up full of bluster and hoorays she didn't exactly come across to well and received a bit of a slagging on a couple of the crusties facebook groups. When it came time to leave a lot of them had made base a few hundred yards away or so and they duly retired back to their clapped out vehicles and sang songs etc
Thommo left in her vehicle which I think was an Audi Q thing

It’s just we are speeding up our own extinction which is probably long overdue tbh unless we have a major population cull of billions.
but that’s not really a popular option so mass extinction is our destiny regardless of any clever thinking, the world was here long before humans and it will be here a very long time after we have long gone
A Malthusian check will be along shortly...

Please do look up Malthus. Absolute nonsense.
Only problem with quoting malthus is that that relates to food production vs population - what he didn't theorize on (indeed likely wouldn't even have thought of/known about) is the problem of pollution both in outright terms and the effect it might have on food production.

The thanos option would actually 'solve' a large amount of the problems (in the short term)

It’s about as hypocritical as you get. It’s okay for me to fly but only if the rest of you don’t...

Just watching Sky news and they were interviewing some young adults (students I assume, they were of uni age), my god they were crying and saying they are the last generation; seriously do they think this is it, this is the end of mankind, are we literally on the edge of being wiped out!

More like Attenborough didn't want to suffer the same fate as David Bellamy
Wonder what he really thinks ???
I think it is clear what he thinks. After all, he has made a programme which defines what he thinks.

He's convinced me he's convinced.

In generations gone those people would have be standing in the street screaming that we must repent our sins as the rapture is nigh. With the decline of organised religion in the west, this has taken over as a new form of fanaticism.

Every generation looks at the next with despair.

Climate Change is an article of faith for anyone younger than 40.

Well everyone's talking about the protests so they have been a success.

I do agree though that there is nothing more annoying than people playing lip service to environmental issues, where they wibble on about organic production and recycling but have seven kids and go on four foreign holidays a year.

Obviously the main issue is overpopulation but to be brutally honest that is self regulating, and is likely to reduce in future. Left to their own devices, most developing countries populations are dropping now. However thanks to a very large ageing population not contributing to taxation we have to have high levels of immigration to maintain them.

We are in an interglacial period at the moment, historically (or more precisely) prehistorically it has been globally much hotter and much colder. This does not mean however that we are not responsible for artificially accelerating climate change.

These people are very good at telling us what we should stop, they never think of the consequences for people if we make radical and drastic changes. The poor man and woman just trying to get to work or get home having to deal with these idiots deserve a medal for not losing it and lamping one them.
Who thought it was a good Policy to have "catch and release" so they can keep returning to the "protest".
