TP, that makes sense as the Saudi's, Quatar, isralies have vested interests in Kushner and trump. It'll be money to trump family with a settled middle east and continued influence for Saudi.
There's the cash but also the extent to which clan Trump needed to show they can be reliable allies makes a lot more sense in light of this peace plan. Trump's support for Yemen, Khashoggi and MbS's other harebrained schemes has been unwavering.

What's happening with the nuclear power the russians were trying to sell there, or the nuclear technologyKushner was pushing?
No major movements recently that I'm aware of. Saudi are building a test reactor so will probably want to get that up and running before signing off on the tender they put out for building two full size reactors. America, China, Russia, France and South Korea have all bid for the work: https://edition.cnn.com/2019/04/06/middleeast/saud...

The plan seems to be for Saudi to match Iran step for step, so if Iran have fissionable material suitable for a bomb but don't actually build one then that is as far as Saudi will take it. I can't see the IAEA being too happy about this regardless of who builds the reactor but they'll work out something in the end.

His cronies Meadows and Jordan are ramping up there push to claim its all a hoax and the corrupt FBI started the investigation illegally.

I wonder if this is the normal rubbish being spouted by the GOP or if they will actually start there own investigation.

The FEC is being sued by nonprofit group, Giffords, for failing to uphold financial laws allegedly broken by the NRA.

The lawsuit reads in part:

“Plaintiff’s complaints demonstrate that the National Rifle Association (“NRA”) violated the Federal Election Campaign Act by using a complex network of shell corporations to unlawfully coordinate expenditures with the campaigns of at least seven candidates for federal office, thereby making millions of dollars of illegal, unreported, and excessive in-kind contributions, including up to $25 million in illegal contributions to now President Donald J. Trump.”
“The illegal contributions to the Trump campaign alone are up to 9,259 times the limit set by Congress. Yet the Commission has taken no action on Plaintiff’s complaints,” the lawsuit said. “In light of this unlawful and unreasonable delay, Plaintiff files this action to compel the FEC to comply with its statutory duty to act.”

North Korea issued a $2 million bill for the hospital care of Otto Warmbier and insisted that a U.S. official sign a pledge to pay it before being allowed to fly him home in 2017. The official signed the agreement on instructions from none other than Donald J. Trump.

That could be played in 2 ways;

1. Trump, not wanting to cause the family any further anguish, agreed as a humanitarian gesture to pay what was effectively a ransom to the North Koreans; OR

2. Trump, greedy for any and all public acclaim and veneration, determined to do a deal with KJU, happily tried to bribe him using US taxpayers money.

That’s been said so often over the last 3 years it’s pretty much lost all meaning.

There are literally no depths in any sewer that Trump would not dive to in order to get fame and publicity.

Agreed. However both are counteracted with "don't negotiate with kidnappers/terrorists".

Not that there is any liklihood of it happening but wouldn't it be superb if Trump was decimated in 2020? Not just the fact that he lost and western civilization is saved, but the damage to his ego would be exquisite to watch.

It would not have any impact at all. He would refuse to admit it had happened. He would literally deny the numbers as "Fake Nooz", he would accuse the "Deep State" of falsifying the figures, he would accuse illegal immigrants of voting, he would say that many many dead people had told him they had voted. This is the guy who stated that the NOISE from windmills cause cancer. Have a read of the link below, him and reality have long since parted ways.

The worry then that his supporters, very probably encouraged by him, will go all Y'all Qaeda and rise up against the "Commie Takeover of 'Murica" (already a bit late for that but hey hoe) & it could get VERY messy

I think that is a genuine possibility. trump has already encouraged and implied it, and one thinks he will do so more as his mental wellbeing further declines.

Not out of the realms of possibility. I know a number of conservatives who dislike Trump and may switch their vote away from him but not one liberal who may switch their vote towards him so if Trump's going to win big in 2020 then where are the votes going to come from?

He's very good at courting his base but what is he offering to bring people over to his side who were not already there? It's a year and a bit since I was last stateside so my finger's not on the pulse but my impression is that for more liberal voters he had an appeal to people who wanted to deliver a kick in the teeth to the establishment warmongers and I'm not sure how much of that appeal is still there?

Corruption is something people talk about but don't vote about, economics people vote about but don't understand so use #BadEconomics to prop up their world view, foreign policy is the persona a leader identifies with. None of this makes it any clearer what's going to happen in 2020 smile

If they wish to get their gribbly little knickers in a twist then they will be dealt with. This is America not Afghanistan.

He encouraged his base with this just yesterday on Hannitys show. He claimed the investigation into his crimes were an attempt to overthrow the us government.

It's looking like some of the committees trying to investigate trumps actions aren't prepared to let him and his team run down the clock towards the next election. Democratic Congressman David Cicilline, who sits on Nadler’s House Judiciary Committee, appeared on Hardball with Chris Matthews yesterday and said they would be looking to arrest people for contempt.

trumps angry twitter rant yesterday when he said: “I never told then White House Counsel Don McGahn to fire Robert Mueller, even though I had the legal right to do so.” was interesting.

trump never had attorney-client privilege with Don McGahn, (former White House Counsel) because he worked for the government and not trump, was therefore not Trump’s lawyer, but even so, in that tweet yesterday trump just blew any chance he had of claiming executive privilege. He can't put his side then refuse to let the other person testify.

trumps out of control ranting has screwed him again.
