Whoever made the video is quite clearly a fking disturbed little sadist who needs to be taught a lesson.

I have an issue with the original video because I love cats and hate snakes but I can see how people can have a different view. What I cannot understand how anyone can a person who clearly enjoys the torture and death of an animal. I would be seriously concerned about the morals and sanity of such a person and be pretty worried about what else they might think is okay for "kicks".

No is defending him ( unless i missed something) What they are saying is that people choose this to get outraged about above a million other things equally horrible, and that this outrage is most likely fueling the sick person to do sicker things

The cat 'rescue' situation in the UK is worse that it is with dogs. It's not difficult to obtain cats....

Rescues usually do decent home checks/homing policies. So my guess (and it is only a guess) is that this F**KING SCUM is buying the kittens (or responding to 'free kitten' ads, you see them all over) and then killing them.

Which makes it worse.

So it seems we all have different opionions on animal cruelty being acceptable. So it would seem drawing a line in the sand is tricky. How about this for a solution...

When someone is caught killing or torturing an animal they will be judged by the public. A poll is taken with regard to the punishment. The options:


A) No punishment.
B) Community service or jail.
C) Death by lions. The video will also be posted on youtube for our amusement.



So, what percentage of people would vote for each option? Put me down for C. Just for a laugh.

I think it would have to start with intelligence and society building animals. Humans build societies, so do others. Cetaceans swap knowledge by memes/culture.
I saw QI XL a few weeks ago and was surprised to learn that Prairie Dogs, which are not regarded to be unusually intelligent (like say Octopuses, the other primates, Elephants or Dolphins) have a language of at least over 100 words that we have come to understand. Where would it end? Who knows. A more pertinent question would be, where would it start?

That's not what I said. I said I can see all sides of the arguments being made here.

Feeding the kitten to the snake was wrong in the context of environment etc however at the same time in certain countries kittens/cats/dogs will get attacked or eaten by snakes or even humans. Hell there was a thread a little while ago about the dogs being skinned alive.

Drowning the kitten. Hmmm personally I wouldnt take any pleasure from drowning or killing a kitten esp when there is no need for it however I suppose I have a fairly calm and if you will realist view/outlook on life.

I take issue witht he drowning in respect of the fact it appears to have been done for fun. That should never be the case. It would be the same as killing a cow and leaving it to rot in the field it serves no purpose.

We are all going to die eventually as are the animals. Not all will die great deaths or live great lives. Some will die peacefully others violently.
Things happen every second of every hr of every day all over the world.

At the time this kitten died it is most likely another was born somewhere else in the world quite possibly in the uk.

TBH this sort of response is precisely what amazes me. I didn't say it was OK, I merely pointed out that killing cats produces a level of outrage that seems to be out of all proportion. On this very forum there are fewer posts of outrage in response to a couple beating and raping a 1 month old little boy than there are in response to this cat being drowned.

We are not defending him. Questioning the unbalance of feelings between a mouse getting fed to a snake rather than a kitten.

The person is a sick fk no matter what way you look at it, but in isolation, a kitten getting eaten by a snake is pretty natural in the scheme of things.

Filming it and enjoying it is where they sickness comes in. And there is simply no excuse with the drowning.

Again I'd like to say this is coming from someone who really likes cats, I'm just realistic about the way nature works.

You also need to actually read and understand posts before you respond to them.
