Following the lead of other states, New Mexico's Attorney General Hector Balderas is referring to federal law enforcement the GOP in the state who submitted the faked electoral certificate naming trump as winner instead of Biden who actually won.

And the National Archives plan to send a few pages of Trump WH records to the trump insurrection investigation at 6PM today, unless a court stops them.

https://www.politico.com/news/2022/01/18/jan-6-com...
That 6pm dump is approx. 551 pages and trump claimed exec privilege over six pages only.
The DOJ says two pages are similar enough to the previous sets of contested docs that were covered by an earlier stay, so it's four pages he doesn't want produced out of 551.

Good pointers for the investigators...

This is set 4, previous releases with exec privilege claimed were
39 pages from set 1 (here were also 7 pages later withdrawn as nonresponsive
724 pages in total from sets 2 and 3
https://s3.documentcloud.org/documents/21151604/12...

After DOJ filed the initial letter last night alerting the DC Circuit this was set to happen, trump's lawyer filed a response around midnight insisting this would violate the earlier injunction pending SCOTUS action
https://s3.documentcloud.org/documents/21181948/1-...

DOJ have replied now, maintaining that the injunction clearly only applied to the first three tranches of documents, and that trump had a chance to try to argue in court re: the fourth tranche, and instead limited that effort to SCOTUS blocking it, which hasn't acted yet, so the docs can be released.

Excellent! This is a *major* setback for team trump. Looking forward to the inevitable revelations.

As said - Excellent, some accountability after years of trump claiming he was immune to any prosecution and a major win for the trump insurrection investigation. trump thought he could stall this process through the courts for some time.

Edit: and there's no slowing down. The trump insurrection investigation has subpoenaed Nick Fuentes and Patrick Casey, "two witnesses who promoted unsupported claims about the 2020 election and were present on the Capitol grounds on January 6th." The panel wants testimony and documents.

Also, what does this mean for Meadows and others who also tried to claim executive privilege now thats been thwarted? Indictments coming?

Meanwhile, Senate Republicans, along with Democratic Sens. Manchin and Sinema, have just blocked changing the filibuster rules for Democrats' voting rights and election package, yet they have happily done it in the past...

The thing is, It was Joe Manchin’s bill!

They already gave up on the admin/leadership bill last year to let Manchin try his compromise measure, but because Manchin failed to attract a single Republican vote, Manchin and Sinema teamed up to kill it...

Edit: Slip by McConnell?
Asked bout concerns voters of color have about voting rights. McConnell said that the concern is misplaced, because if you look at the statistics, African-American voters are voting in just as high a percentage as Americans.

Here it is on video
https://www.c-span.org/video/?c4997722/user-clip-m...

Says it all...

Interesting other point: all 50 Democratic senators were wearing masks on the floor and the only masks on the GOP side were Murkowski, Collins, Romney, and Grassley (age 88)

Ivan Raiklin, one of the leading pushers of the “Pence Card” strategy in the lead up to trumps attempted coup, has listed his requirements for testifying in front of the J6 committee and they’re…were - deluded?

One is that his testimony is broadcast using the Emergency Alert System

Knowing his propensity for vindictiveness I wonder if the next print of Trump's picture book will have a new image on page 54 - currently shows Neil Gorsuch with the caption (all penned personally apparently) "Neil Gorsuch, one of the sharpest legal minds in our nation" biggrin

Ah bless - despite all their best efforts they couldn't pin anything on Hunter, so they tried to manufacture dirt, with the Ukraine president (impeachment #2), with Giuliani's faked laptop hard drives (allegedly with the help of the russians)

Whereas Don Jnr and Eric couldn't keep their mouths shut.

Told you Giuliani was the delivery boy for those faked certificates. People are now talking as they realise the trouble they are in, especially those that signed them.

Both Maddock from Michigan and DeMarco from Pennsylvania have said they were in direct contact with members of the Trump campaign.
https://edition.cnn.com/2022/01/20/politics/trump-...

This was also why trump lawyers Giuliani, Jenna Ellis and Sidney Powell were subpoenad along with trump campaign adviser Boris Epshteyn, who was also working the war room with Giuliani on 6 Jan at the Willard

Edit: We know this was part of the plan to enable for Pence to gift the election to trump by refusing to accept results from 7 states that trump lost in, now they have direct evidence linking it to team trump.
People are going to jail for trump...

Voting obstruction in Texas?
The Texas secretary of state's office is limiting the amount of forms it gives out to no more than 2,000 per request. to groups who help Texans register to vote.

It's blaming supply chain issues...

Have we got those trumpette dementia specialists who so quickly diagnosed Biden? What would they think of trumps latest losing of the plot?

trump desperately trying to remain relevant called into Hannitys show last night. Even when spoon fed questions, trump showed he's not fully there.

Hannity said about Biden’s efforts in office: “You keep banging your head against the wall — why would you expect a different result?”
trump responded with this: “So, we would have the wall completed in 3 weeks. It was largely completed. We did almost 500 miles of wall.”
