Next time I'm born I want to be bright enough to be thick.

A bright kid now gets to pay (upto) £27000 in tuition fees, to be paid back later from their salary.

The thick kids after tossing it off at school are then paid paid to learn a trade.

So much for trying to better yourself.
What is stopping you from following the 'thick' kids who decide a practical skill is the way to earn a good living. This elitst view that a degree should deliver a better income only works if most people don't have a degree. Unfortunately Winky and co totally devalued degrees by their social engineering. We now have this vast army of graduates looking for high paid careers which, surprise, surprise don't exist. If you've been conned into going to university to study things as valuable as media therapy, I feeel sorry for you. The reality is that you have to acquire a skill that employers feel has real value. Some of the graduates being turned out by 'universities' will find that they really should have avoided the costs and gone straight into proper jobs. Shame on the labour zealots who pushed our youngsters into valueless degree courses which had no real prospect of giving anything other than a poor living. So don't blame emloyers for paying the minimum they can get away with to employ new staff, blame instead those left wing assholes who sold these poor students a false bill of goods,

Problem is that once the job market picks up and they have a years experience, they wont be closing the door on the way out of a low paying small business.
