Can you imagine having to visit a state run shop just to purchase a 6 pack?
Also, it isn't that expensive. Last time I was there the prices were the same as an offie in the UK. You just don't get the special offers - 8 cans for a fiver, etc - which is no great hardship.
Anyway what does Scandinavian attitude to buying alcohol and visibility of individual tax status have anything to do with the thread subject, ie Brexit route.

h Ithink it's an alright idea... I just don't like the idea of Theresa May running the state that has state offies.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Systembolagetdon;t forget there are parts of the US with 'liquor control boards' as well ...

Home brew must be a big thing in Scandinavia I would have thought.
OTYep, statistically they don't drink that much but consume lots of sugar!
Also a good market in flavourings, so you can turn your moonshine into an approximation of whisky.
Things might have changed now, but the vinmonopolets (state booze stores) used to just increase the price of the wine that they had imported by a nominal cost of living increase every year. Obviously, some of the good French wines increased in price much more back in France, so colleagues working for Total/Elf would buy up the good French wines and import them back to France for a healthy profit.
