LOL !!

Can't believe that he's going to land in Regents Park - he's staying at the US ambassadors pad - very nice it is as well smile
Not sure that the 200 bodyguards will have their own on suites though !!

Suspect he'll be heading to Boujis tonight - nowhere is to go really on a Tuesday night wink

Actually it's kind of funny that he's staying a stones throw away from the Regent's Park Mosque - perhaps that's a bad turn of phrase ?

It is a ridiculous circus though. This is probably the prime global candidate for using modern web-meeting technology to save costs - and yet they all want a jolly to let the wives go to Harrods.
Tend to agree with you - god knows what the cost of this jolly is !
Haven't they heard of Skype ?

btw
check out this google street view
http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=q&source=s_q&a...

Then click the arrow towards the police car - duh !

It's definitely Stansted - Bush caused too much disruption when he landed at heathrow - took hours in the Duty Free.

"Nothing to hide, nothing to fear" is the government line, I believe.
All I get is 'this image has been removed' frown What was it ?
I can still see it - it's outside the US ambassadors place in Regents Park - the google car was driving past and looks like the diplomatic police car followed them - then pulled them over - cop get's out of the car and then the photos stop !

If you go to the standard view at http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=q&source=s_q&a...

then select street view

Obama is taking a helicopter from Stansted to Regents Park - but the rest are travelling in convoy.

Down the M11 - M25 - M1 i would think ?
or M11 - A13 - but would think that's a bit more open to problems

One helicopter (Marine 1) with Obama in.
At Least 3 other Marine helicopters in formation/diversion/decoy.
These arrived Monday!
Cool smile

I hacked together this map to show the airspace restrictions (usually, NATS publish maps to accompany the NOTAMS, but on this occasion they don't seem to have been arsed to do so).

http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=http://www.plus7mi...

The large square area around Stansted is active from 1900 GMT this evening, so you'd expect he wouldn't be arriving before then...
I accidental flew into a no fly zone (not me flying) during the labour conference a few years back - got a warning from ATC - you don't do it twice apparently - LOL

So he gets Airforce one over here which lands whereever (Stanstead area) then gets into one of 3 identical helicopters (How have these come over here? you can't fly a helicopter over the Atlantic). Then "The Beast" read £200,000 limo takes him around London with 20 other support vehicles. How have they got the beast over here?.
The limo came by transport plane - i guess the helicopters were shipped over ?
unless they fit in a galaxy ?

Helicopters, cars etc etc all brought in by USAF heavy lift over the past week or so.
Bit extreme isn't it all? and when he gets to number 10 the poor guy has to endure the fat tounged essex boy who has been drafted in to cook. Thats a sign of the times, couldn't afford a michellin star between them!.
Think it's the same deal as Hugh Hefner - Hef takes he's own chefs with him and the bunnies of course - in fact wouldn't the word be a better place is Hef was presidentsmile

wonder what the road route is going to be ?
I live just over one of the M25 bridges - quite fancy getting a snap of the beast wink

I can't imagine them doing M11 - A406 - A13 ?

M11 - M25 - M1/A1 - they could stop off at Brent Cross as well

Sounds about right, if you look at the (real) stansted timetable, that's right in the middle of a 35 minute gap... usually there's departures every 5/10 minutes. Plus that coincides with the take-off time.

crap - won't see it - too dark by then !

I wonder what movies he gets on the inflight ?

Still pretty cool - flew directly over my house - don't think they were chinocks - not loud enough
El presidente is in a VH 3D and the escorts are probably UH-60 blackhawks
