Assuming that AV does make it past the referedum would it change how you vote?

As you now have more then one vote if you vote carefully or will you carry on to vote tory.

This is not to say wether AV is good or bad there is already a thread about that

Why do you assume I'd vote Tory?
This is PH you can vote tory or EVIL SOCIALIST LABOUR PARTY there are no other options

I did the last time because the party I'd originally voted for was dry-humping my country and needed to be got rid of. Anyone who votes for a party because of the colour of their tie should have the right to vote removed immediately.
If the Tories do a good job then I'll vote for them again, but if another party comes up with the goods they'll get my vote. thumbup
So you voted tory but didn't feel they were the best option

So who would you vote under AV

Only change for me would be that the Tories might go down as a second choice (unless they drastically change their stance on a few areas in which case they'd be first)
AV would not change my first vote as i already voted for who i felt represented my views the best but i might put blue ties down as 3rd pref with a minor party first and second

I don't see how AV would help. Maybe UKIP might get a few more votes? Who is going to put a 1 by Tory then put a 2 by Labour or vice versa? Libdems are dead in the water.
I don't think anyone will put tory 1 labour 2 unless epically stupid.

However how many folk voted Tory just to get rid of brown?

How many voted bLair to get rid of thatcher?*

Under AV you can vote for UKIP No1 and then vote blue tie No2 to get rid of red tie

*(yes i know it was Major but don't forget how thick folk are)

Those voting NO

Is it because you would choose a major party as No1?

I think you'll get a lot less tactical voting and therefore it could have quite a big effect. You no longer have to think, I support A but they won't get in so I'll vote B. Now you can just put A first and B second.

What happens if we've all been voting B when we really want A?
This is what i feel

I can't imagine any sane person voting blue tie other then to get rid of red tie

That said we do have 14% on i don't care which one has a blue tie

What if there isn't a candidate or party that is sufficiently anti-EU, anti-big govt, anti-socialist and anti-green? Do you vote for the party nearest your requirements or not vote at all?
I would vote for the best fit to my views

Anyone who votes on tie colour should be banned from voting

So it looks like the best fit of the "big parties" is the conservatives. hehe

Who'da thunk it?
You can tell the difference between the big two?

I'm impressed

Perhaps the people you perceive as voting by tie colour are actually just voting for the party that has the best fit to their views from the available choice, rather like you do?
So seeing that the vast majority of this site supports the torys we can say the vast majority of this site believes 100% in man made global warming like the tory party do

I am voting "no" unless someone thinks this £300 million is worth it. You have a day to convince me to vote "yes" (postal vote sitting on desk).

Well done for completely missing the opening question of this thread

If it costs £300million to stop nothing changing but tie colour in parliament its worth every penny

Well done for completely missing the point that I didn't care about the opening question and didn't want to start another thread.

How would it be worth every penny? You can change the tie colour under the current system. Or is Labour still in power?
Well done you don't care about the opening question we if you actually read the opening question you might notice the fact it said there was another thread already running

And labour are still in power just they appear to be wearing a blue tie instead of a red tie
