Banking Swiftcode - China purchase?

read the original post, it wasn't about doing business, it was a specific question about using swift to transfer funds.....the OP would be better off asking his own bank about this stuff, I am merely explaining how swift works (nor am I claiming I know all there is to know about business in the far east, because I don't)...if his prospective partners have accts with Shenzhen as described (and posted by the OP), then my previous posts apply.

It was your assumption that the OP is dealing with a small chinese co, not a multi- national, frankly it doesn't matter, money moves the same way, no matter what the size of the company.

I also never stated that the chinese co should have a USD acct in the states, merely that they could ( such capitalist ideas are not unheard of...).

As has been explained they have an acct with the local chinese bank, who in turn have an acct in the US, so by using an mt103/mt202 payment the funds would get there, the OP's bank should be able to do this for him, but I doubt they would even bother to explain in the detail I have about how they would do it.

Maser, if you did want to go into business, you handle sales, I'll do the finance...
