when my wife comes to sell any shares I have transferred to her.
can she deduct the cost of the shares from her CGT allowance?
of is £11k the limit this tax year that she could sell.

Spousal exemption on the transfer, it's as if she owned then from inception.

She can sell the shares, as she now owns them, and use her full CGT allowance £11k in14/15.

As Elroy has said......it is as if she owned the shares from inception herself.
So, if you gifted the shares to her, then whatever you paid stands as her cost for those shares as if she had originally bought those shares instead of you.
Hope this is clear.

Yes - she deducts the cost of the shares. It's as if she bought them.
