I'm viewing your posts in the light of you having your nose put out of joint by me. Along with many other posters I told you to FRO on the Depression thread (which should be one of the few safe spaces on here) when you suggested the equivalent of 'pull yourself together' to other posters, upsetting quite a few people. With these sorts of BS opinions which you hold it's easy to not take you seriously.

I think it is a form of bullying (I could cite examples, but don't wish to throw petrols on the flames) but I don't feel bullied, if that makes sense. The demeanor of some is pretty poor form though TBH.

Nope, that would be me asking the mods to delete things and ban people, which I've done neither. All I asked is for civility, not really to much to ask. Seems a few struggle with the request though.

Well yeah we all know what was going on but you don’t need to always be the nice guy and justify yourself politely to people as much... Even justifying why you replied to a simple haha has alerted the many resident jokers to potential good bait... It’s the reason so many one liner or emoji artists pop up on your threads.

The thing is, short of one single post, pointing out to Equss how he may come across to others, I have been polite and civil on all my posts here, IIRC. I even on my first post apologised in advance to him in case I'd spelt his handle wrongly (Pistonheads, grammar matters!) a man who delighted in ripping my home, my area, and my valid (confirmed by planning) concerns to shreds on the original thread.

In return I get all sorts of insults and criticisms levied at me. The post above yours calls me an 'attention we or a troll' having spent probably 20 minutes on Pistonheads all day

I'll conclude with one observation. A man with a cavern at the end of his garden penned a thread about finding out what it was. He left it un-concluded. It is bought up every single week, what, 10 years on? I wished to A) validate that we were indeed right, that the proposed doesn't meet standards, and B) relating to the above, conclude the scenario to not be another cliff hanger poster.

I'll leave it here, no more to say, I am genuinely bored with this charade. You lot carry on if you wish, Top Gear awaits.

Oh, and Monkey, another can't win. Close the thread I'm a school child, keep it open I'm an attention we. Figure that quandary out. Jesus!

I am done responding to trolls (that's me being well mannered) on this thread, G3org3y - hope that's right - and black_S3) your kindness is noted, and appreciated. And George, sometimes sharing, for me, is cathartic. I don't have many vent avenues, for want of more.

a bit O/T, so I stand by the point that I'll not be continuing to enter in the main debate. I'm a little disappointed at the position you took later on yesterday. I DID quickly read your well considered post, but contrary to what is being suggested by some I spent a total of maybe 20 minutes on PH yesterday (until 9.30pm ish) as it was a busy day for my wife and I.

I also gave you the courtesy of a reply to this intent.

Accordingly, I genuinely intended to re-visit it, when I had the time to reflect on it properly. IE, no, you weren't ignored.

I need to clarify this, so not to risk being made to look the fool in that instance. I was the determined one wanting to extract what ever the oddity was, I got the top bit out, and after maybe two wheel barrows of soil gave up on the shaft and got the builder to cut it off (it was in the way of new foundations)

Rest assured, half my garden wasn't dug up, we've spent far too long getting that how we want it to do that.

Still none the wiser what it is though, I may ask on a link someone suggested, if I ever get the chance.

He was completely satisfied it wasn't a bomb. And yes, I did. I was pretty sure it wouldn't be, but I didn't fancy blowing myself up, plus I couldn't be sure it wasn't something currently in use (unlikely, but stranger things have happened)

Can you imagine that thread going another way. F&SS 'At this point we decided to call out the bomb squad, and they attended and told us that it was part of an outside Victorian crapper.'

Yep, we had the letter last week. We bought the house with knowledge that housing is the plan for there. There was a 7 house application approved at the time, which lapsed last year IIRC.
