well, why else would you pay that amount of money for a 3 bed semi with no garage? My 3 bed semi is for sale at £110K. Garage large enough for the Aston, in an area nice enough not to get a damaged Aston. Why could this house possibly be worth almost 3x as much? Oh yes, I forgot: its London.

Our 3 bed semi with garage on the very outskirts of Stroud, atop a hill that overlooks a valley from the lounge and master bedroom was £180k 18 months ago. I still can't see how the OP's house can be worth that much but hey ho!

Are you lot aware that house prices vary from place to place?
It is not a new crazy phenomena that in some places you will get much more for your money than others.

I'm quite aware how house prices vary thanks! My point is that I would much rather have a 300k detached house with a nice view and probably 4 bedrooms in the Cotswolds than a 3 bed semi in suburbia. Each to their own though and choice is a wonderful thing.
