We have an electric hob which I hate cooking on, even though it is an expensive modern one and I do like the timer on / off facility. Our work top needs replacing which seems like a good time to change to a gas hob. However, the kitchen floor is tiles over solid concrete and I don' want to dig it up / relay all the tiles / regrout the whole floor so it matches etc. The gas meter is on an outside wall which runs close within a metre of the hob. Could I get a fitter to run a gas pipe from the meter,6 meters along the wall, including a couple of right angle turns, then trough the wall and into the hob? Outside the outside wall is a courtyard which I don't want to dig up either.

I'm assume it is technically possible but I wondered about regualtions.

Thanks

Not a problem, the pipe needs to be correctly sized, clipped and protected from mechanical damage.
Oh and before I get called out on it; sleeved were it passes through the wall.
