Extend or move.
Discussion
Been juggling with the idea of extending our home or simply move house. If we moved it would be a village just on the outskirts of B.S.E. offering village life with only a few miles into a great Town with loads of independent shops, pubs, restaurants and so on. And we have family that way.
Anyway, first estate agent called round offering valuation and wisdom, decent enough guy by very much the 'Corporate jacket on'. Valuation was a fair bit down on what I expected or hoped, lets get it on the market and sold type of approach. And much focus upon what Mr Corporate could also offer, 1k cash back to buyer (my expense) legal conveyancing in house by their sister Company (conflict of interest?)Failed to advise me of their cost of service, despite my asking. So one down and two to go, what a crap start to the process of selling.
I feel better now!

From what I've heard, typically costs you to move circa £12.5K.
That is money you will never see.
So put that against an extension and its £12.5K cheaper eh?
Indeed, I suppose I have to decide if I want convenience of B.S.E. and be nearer family or continue countryside living and extend. Both options are attractive, decisions decisions.+That is money you will never see.
