Stick dirty dishes in washer A, wash when full, then put dirty dishes in washer B until full, repeat.

Never need to put dishes away again smile

Similarly, I have a wife and 2 children. They take it in turns.

For higher volume homes two or one large and one slim line are becoming more popular but not for your reason. I believe a famous designer did design a system that allowed him not to have to put away the dishes, although I can't remember it if was a four machines or the ability to store a rack of clean plates in a unit.

I've often (as I work from home so usually get the job of emptying the dishwasher) thought this would be worthwhile.

However it would probably be a nightmare with kids (and possibly me too) mixing them up and putting a chucking a half full cup etc into the clean one!

Make more sense to use a commercial basket loading dishwasher wouldn't it? Then just size your shelf/cupboard space to take standard baskets.

Some houses of the more affluent have dishwashers in both kitchen and dining room, I'm surprised this isn't the norm on ph, goatees etc.

We have had 2 in our last houses, just the 2 of us but it is better with 2 smaller sizes rather than having dirty food utensils sitting around in 1 large dishwasher to get full, and generally the 2 of us can fill a small dishwasher each day.

If we have company/family staying have the benefit of what is equal to a large dishwasher.

2 dishwashers and 3 sinks.

Slight overkill considering I live alone.

To be honest I have no idea.
I shall venture below stairs later once the staff have retired, and report back.

On a rather cheaper note we had a series of dishwashers over the years before I discovered how useful it was to have one cutlery basket in the wash and one loading up on the worktop or sink.

Not the same thing as two dishwashers though........ smile

I have a bespoke kitchen company, pretty much a regular thing to have a dishwasher either side of the sink if the kitchen is big enough.

I have found the 2 drawer dishwashers to be a pain in the arse due to leaks from food getting caught in the seals.

It is an idea my business partner is putting in his new kitchen, we have a kitchen showroom but have never done this for a customer! I would consider 2 45cm ones when I get around to doing ours.
