Trying to work out what to do, lock-wise, when we replace the front door with a uPVC one.

Definitely avoiding the cheap/nasty Eurolocks and going for something 3-star etc...BUT...

...from the inside, what's the best option:-
- keyhole mirroring the outside?
- thumb-turn?
- something else?

Important points:-
- We'd like bar-handles inside and out not a traditional uPVC handle. So there'll be nothing to turn to open the door from inside - we're presuming the thumb-turn or key-in-lock if we need to open the door?!? So if we go for a lock, then we need to keep a key to-hand by the front door at all times, with the risk we just leave it in the lock by mistake, which isn't secure...
- We've a full-height pane of glass next to the door on the lock side, which (I assume) reduces security if we go for a thumb-turn...

Any advice?

Split spindle - definitely, already knew about that.
Ultion - thanks - had come across the name before.

I guess if someone really wants to get in they will, was just wondering what the security implications were, considering that a set of patio/french doors are just two very large panes of glass...
