Our insect overlords are a possibility if Gordon gets his way of destroying mankind...

However, they (insects including Gordon Winky, etc) have all evolved on this planet, and are all from the same family as us, animals. Either Pothole is ignorant, or is utterly deluded and a member of the Creationist religious bandwagon - and therefore the only Animals I FECKIN HATE!

I dislike the 'let's post pics of our pets' threads. But I like animals, but not the dogs from Essex I keep meeting....

I am in general agreement with the OP but would quite like a Great Dane.

of course you are. If you put something TO SLEEP then you can wake it up again. OBL, while he is clearly deluded and special, is still worth more to me than the dog which shat all over my front step yesterday.

How can anyone dislike animals? Most of them are just so darn tasty.

Animals as food are good, IMO that is exactly what they are there for, not to have a relationship with!

Yes I probably would eat any animal as long as it tasted good.

Nar i don't like pet animals, dont see any positives to keeping pets and a whole load of negatives. I like eating animals, and the few entertaining wierd ones at the zoo, but thats about it.

I'm not really a pet owner, but I do have a chinchilla (don't smell, don't need babysitting, andn seem to live forever).

I did get adopted by a staffie that was wandering around and looked after it for a couple of days until the owner was located, which was nice.

What wasn't nice was the s moving 3 weeks later, and having Dog killed as the rented house they moved to had a no pets clause.

Absolutely, whole heartedly agree. Couldn't have put it better myself. Some of the things I've seen people do to animals.....well, if I could only get my hands on the people responsible. Animal cruelty upsets and angers me more than anything else on the planet, it's just not on.

And before someone says 'do you eat meat?', yes, tons of the stuff, but i buy from shops that have good welfare standards (such as The Co-Operative).

Do you really see no irony in your intention to 'get your hands on' people who do things to animals, presumably to do something similar to them?

I was about to laugh at you about the Co Op comment, but you know, instead, I learned something today, so thanks!

They have asked for it though by being cruel to an innocent animal. Cruelty towards humans, in some cases, can be understood (humans can be absolute bds), but an animal? I've never seen an animal pre-meditate its attack on someone for no reason.

that's disgusting. I am no lover of cats really (they make me sneeze, and try to eat my parrot....and failed), but I'd never stamp on one. That's vile. Anyone who says they wouldnt act on someone doing that is lying, i'm quite sure some of the cat lovers on here would end up in a psychopathic rage.

Guys - please bear in mind the PH posting rules when you come to post; as we've had to remove some posts which I believe has taken PH to a new low.

For anyone who needs a refresher on what these rules are that you all agreed to, then you'll find them here: http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/rules.htm

Here's a clue .... check out #2

It started off giving amusement and also keeping the animal haters off the cat/dog threads, then it started to falter!
