Is £10K for a holiday for 2½ people extravagant?
Discussion
My partner of two years has worn me down and I finally ageeed that she could book a holiday for late next year involving several days in a seriously luxurious "tent" in the Serengeti park followed by a few days in a top hotel overlooking the sea in Tanzania.
She is going to pay for herself and her seven year old daughter however all-in-all it's going to cost £10K which is 10 times more than I've ever paid for a holiday before.
I'm up at this hour worrying about it particularly as it could cost me several thousand pounds more in lost sales as I try to run my e-commerce business over wi-fi in the hotel reception and via a dodgy or non-existent mobile phone signal.
I'm not normmally easily talked into such things but I must be mad to have gone along with this one. I just didn't want to dissapoint.

Well I can't back down as she's paid the deposit and got the little girl all excited about it. I can afford it, as long as the business keeps growing as it is, and will undoubtedly enjoy it.
I will lose some orders but the online ones I can manage remotely an hour or two in the evening. I've got a year to work out how not to lose too many telephone orders.
It's a ridiculously expensive holiday but I'll treat it as the experience of a lifetime and enjoy it as much as I can without worrying about the business too much.

There's no F1 races in December so I'll look again at this thread nearer the time though I do have a mate in mind as suggested by somebody above. He's a good bloke who has a nice second hand car business which would go a little quiet in December presumably. He also has a considerable gift of the gab
