If I got flowers for my wife she'd think I was having an affair!

Just being nice means nothing. It's good, of course, but irrelevant.
I've been looking at your posting recently.

No, it doesn't. It wasn't even funny the first time let alone the 100th.
I thought it was quite amusing the first time and still fairly amusing now.

Don't worry, OP, when they're a bit older and saggier and they've finished having their fun and want to settle down, their priorities will change. They'll want someone nice and reliable to provide financial and emotional support to raise their kids and then you'll be on the menu.
By which time he probably couldn't bothered with the whole idea.

If I'm so lovely / nice then give me a f-ing chance and date me!

Why do women let the nice guys finish last? I swear the next date I have I'm going to be a total ahole and see what difference it makes...

Mini "I can't get a girlfriend" rant over.

banghead

It's not impossible to get out of the friend zone. I've done it. It's probably not worth it though. You end up knowing too much about each other, things that that wouldn't normally come up in a relationship like intricate details of past partners, other stuff it's best to not know. Then when it all falls apart you've lost your good friend as well as your girlfriend. Which is awkward. Especially when they keep trying to be friendly and nice and you really couldn't give a fk.

Not that I'm bitter or anything.

Women like guys who aren't overly interested in them at the start. They hate having someone pestering them, being to clingy etc.

Even if you look like Brad Pitt this is still a turn off. Ignore a few calls, take a while longer than she does to reply to messages. Act like you're busy doing amazing fun st when in fact you're sat at home with your mum watching Emmerdale.

As st as it is, games work. You just have to know how to play them.

Play it cool, don't act like a tt (fine line between confidence and arrogance). Don't offer to pay for everything, she'll take advantage.

Always leave a conversation when she's having a good time with you and not when she's bored. Say you're going out with friends and need to run.
Guys are very much about looks, women need and want a lot more than that.

This is why you''l always see hot women with ugly guys. How often do you see hot guys with ugly women? You don't.

You may well have some female interest and just aren't registering it. Not all girls are that confident/obvious when they try and show interest so you definitely need to learn to read the subtle signs (i'd offer you some advice on it but I haven't got the foggiest idea what those signs are either). I worked with a girl for 2 years and on my leaving do she confessed that she's wanted to do the deed since I started.... I was clueless the entire time.

I'd get one of those female friends to give you a crash course on flirting as you're probably missing a few tricks.....

Oh, and unfortunately I didn't get a farewell shag. She'd gotten bored of waiting and found herself a feller who can read subtle body language. banghead

Do you all really think that women and men are that different?
I've gone out with some very handsome men in the past who were incredibly dull, and some not-so-handsome men who were intelligent and great company.
I'm sure there's someone out there for everyone (aside from me, now, I'm starting my career as mad cat-owning spinster). biggrin

Definitely this. yes

I have a friend on Facebook who is always moaning about how nice he is and how it's so unfair that nice guys finish last and it is deeply unattractive. Comes across as very needy and women just don't like that.
It's me isn't it? I knew it.

In my experience women always like the bad guy.
Seen it countless times. women getting beaten and going back to the same guy who beat the crap out of them.

A guy I knew had his arm almost severed by his daughters fella with a samuri sword after the guy had beaten his daughter. He went round to try to mediate with the guy and the guy nearly took his arm off. Did the daughter split with the guy after this? No, she said he promised he would never hurt her or her dad again!
Some people cannot be helped!

But then, would you want the sort of woman who stays with such an arse anyway?
(Although, there are surprisingly many male nutters out there, I suppose).

I haven't read thru this whole thread, so if it's been said already I apologise.

All women want from a man is honesty and sincerity.....and if you can fake those two, you're laughing.

Some might say that women are better at faking than men.

Your problem is that you don't recognise a female who'd 'ruin you' when you see it ;-)
