Certainly was Heard the commentator's mention that many of the big teams would only sign one of the brothers - not both. However, the brother's Adam/Simon wanted to be in the same team, only Orica Greenedge agreed to sign them both up. Good decision by them - they have got great potential.

You are quite wrong there! Newey does all he can to get the front of the plank on the ground without it wearing beyond the allowed amount.
Last years car ran with a massive amount of fixing bolts on the front of the plank, so he could run with as much rake as possible. The fixings acted as a wear block to keep the plank within the legal limits of wear. A clever wease that was within the rules.
That's why on the thermal cameras the front of the red bull plank glowed so hot.

Not sure about new Astra's but my parents have a 2002 Astra SRi which they've owned for the last 5 years now and bar normal servicing, it hasn't needed a penny spending on it and never broken down. Who says old Vauxhall's are crap, it's by far the most cost effective motoring they've ever had.
