Very easy to say.

People love to pour scorn on the subject. In my experience, it's because they fear the unknown deep down.

In the past the media would have blamed pictures turning around on global warming. Now they'll claim Vladimir Putin entered the property and did it while she was out.

Not quite. Gruniad would blame it on the oil companies, telegraph would blame the unions, BBC would blame thatcher, and the star would go "phwoor, look the bumps in these pictures" and the mail would say the world is about to blow up.

My experience is the opposite. Those who believe need to believe in something to make up for the depressing finality of their life and to try and give it some meaning.

CCTV is everywhere. Millions of cameras worldwide in offices, shops, homes, car parks, the High Street. Not a single case of CCTV picking up anything "supernatural". So draw your own conclusions from that.

It's nothing to do with fear, more anger at people giving brain time to stuff patently nonsensical.

It was Einstein who said the definition of insanity is to do something repeatedly and expect a different outcome...so where does that leave us with the literal millions of psychic claims that are all false?

James Randy has a $1M prize available for anyone who can make a claim stand up to objective scrutiny. If it is 50:50 then that's the best bet to be a millionaire ever smile

What would a 'person of science' in say 500 BC think if he was able to see a demonstration of facetime messaging?
I think they would be more shocked at the time machine you used to transport them to the future.

I don't fully understand how many things work, yet I see them all the time. I trust the engineers and science that invented them. I can probably get a person, likely with fuzzy hair and suspect personal hygiene, to give me a decent explanation about how it works and added with the things I do understand it will make perfect sense.

So far no person, likely in sandals with socks and an out of shape wooly jumper, has ever managed to explain ghosts in a satisfactory manner because it requires to many baseless assumptions.

I can't, however, explain what possessed the elderly couple that just walked past the house as I was typing this to buy matching puffer jackets and wear them in public. I'm going to give this one to ghosts.

Pondered this a few times. Hands up who knows how the china in the computer that you use to access the internet?

Sod that, too complicated. Hands up who understand how fire works?

Draw a line anywhere in-between. Since we have been relived of having to take the word of some religious nut that it a god or gods work, spirits, wind, whatever, we can ask a question without fear of being excommunicated or set on fire or nailed to a plank.

I know there is not a spirit in my desk top computer, no genie. Do I know how the keyboard works? Slight idea but I can attribute technology and not some magic arsing around. It can be defined and tested and proven.

Except the desire to Facebook everything. That is witch craft.

I'm honestly not sure but at a training college that is a ex Nunnery I saw something. After talking to security and others accounts since it's a very active place. Mine could have been my imagination however could everyone there be the same? No one told me or prewarned me and I didn't feel nervous or scared before it happened

Ha! Always thought that one god was boring

Why does my OMG get preceded by a 1 on normal view and a # on edit? The # was the joke.

My employer has at least 2 incidents on cctv where supernatural things have occurred, one i can't remember and the other is a driver talking to nobody for a couple of minutes, the driver swore there was somebody there.
rofl

2 incidents. One you can't recall (although film of a genuine supernatural event would make the owner of said film an overnight billionaire and world famous), and the other is a nutter talking to himself.

It's all utter bks but somebody somewhere is getting rich

Like religion, thousands of years ago everybody is sitting in a straw hut in the mud when somebody invents God, persuades a lot of people he's real and we need to build a (insert religious building of choice here) to pray to him

People build the (insert etc) then the guy who found God has a nice house to live in and people come once a week throwing money at him then they use that money to become the richest organisations in the world buying up large chunks of land and sitting on the value while people starve , I'll leave the child abuse out of it

As I said it's all bks to make money and control people

My belief is we're like a light bulb, once the switch is flicked we're off .

When this guy says any of it is real I'll believe it

A feeling of moral injustice that thousands of people died for absolutely no reason except one group of peoples beliefs that their sky fairy wanted them to kill a load of people?

You'd feel the same if you visited Auschwitz I suspect. It's your humanity showing through, nothing supernatural.
