'Enough is as good as a feast' - Mary Poppins.

I do like this one because its a view I have on life, about being content with what I have and not wanting more for the sake of it.

"I'm sorry, but I don't want to be an emperor, that's not my business."
Charlie Chaplin in the great dictator, 1940
And the rest of that speech, to be fair.

One that's very pertinent to my current situation. I think it came from an article in Forbes.
"People don't leave jobs, they leave managers."

Edited to add Lemmy talking about his time working in a factory before he made it big:

"Most people have to do that kind of job that they hate every day of their lives. Can you imagine what that must be like? You have to submerge your intellect completely, right, and just, y’know, che cha, y’know, and all that. So, at the weekend, they want to hear something that tears the heart out of ‘em and gives it back better."

I had a good one the other day I liked. It was about doing tough endurance events, which I like doing.

I'm guessing you mean Lemmy/Motorhead- who else eh !

did you see the film on him- he talked about being a young man, with his mate. they had a decorating job for a few weeks working for this bloke.

apparently the man was gay- kept trying it on it with his friend.

the twist - this bloke was called "Mr Brownsword". lemmy was in hysterics recounting the tale and when he remembered his quite apt name. A brilliant film.
