What’s on your Bucket List?

Fast approaching middle age here….thinking it’s time to write a bucket list….so I thought of the usual, places I’d like to visit, cars I’d like to own, life experiences and memory making.
Few random ideas sprung to mind, so I thought why not start a thread and see what others have on their list….
Buy a car up to £1k, the most random I can find and see if I can last a year driving it (without it going kaput)
Use said car to participate in a rally across Europe or an organised Rally (any suggestions of events welcome)
Anyway I thought that’s a good random start. Let’s see what others have on their list……

That would be a bit Top Gear challenge. Could be a laugh if it doesn't leave you at the side of a motorway in a country where nobody spoke English. I'd stick to a less than random Japanese car. Own an Alfa Romeo briefly
Own a Lotus less briefly
Own a Maserati fairly briefly
Own a CLS63 shooting brake long term
Get to 100,000 miles in my ancient RS6 without major borkage
Own a white 1989 ur Quattro 20v forever
Sell my Defender for more than it owes me
The last one is the only realistic one!

Ironically I was watching Grand Tour when I thought about this idea. Good shout on the Japanese front, reliable and that’s what I’d need. Love a Merc thoughw1bbles said:

Stelvio really isn't a driver's road, ignore what you saw on TopGear (or was it Grand Tour?) as they closed it for them. I have driven over it at least four times on various StreetSafari rallies and it really is nothing special (to look at, yes, to drive, no).As a driving experience, on the way up from Bormio you will spend your time avoiding the coaches in the narrow tunnels and on the way down to Trafoi it's endless, slow hairpins full of cyclists (who all ride up it at about 0.5kph, not down). So much so, it even looks like that on Streetview

A victory roll in a spitfire! No not the BL product the Supermarine one.
Watched a programme in the 80’s by a Mr Grace who, under supervision of a LAE rebuilt a spitfire. Fascinating programme, would have loved to chat to him about the rebuild.
He finished it but unfortunately was killed in an RTA, his wife Carolyn and maybe his son operate the aircraft, she learned to fly the aircraft and it is now based at Sywell airfield. Going down that way in September to visit relatives but picked the wrong time airfield has an air show on so no flights available. Too far to travel from home in Scotland on the chance of a flight.
Ah well there is always next year.
