I work in a pub/restaurant, and tonight someone has done a bloody runner on us without paying their bill.

Ok, the bill was only about £40, but the principle of it winds me up so much. I'd left the bar for no longer than a minute, and by the time I returned they'd pissed off and were on their way out of the car park.

We know that the food was OK because all the plates came back clean, and I don't think they were short of money as they drove off in an Impreza!

So, if the tall guy and the woman whose fake tan was inspired by Easyjet's uniform are reading this, we'd like our 40 quid please. smile

We've no CCTV unfortunately, and I couldn't see the numberplate of the car. frown It was tempting to phone the Police, but we didn't think they'd be able to do much with a vague description and no reg plate.

I've had people do it by accident before - I went after them but they'd already realised and were on their way back in. I'm convinced this one was deliberate though, as they moved from the dining room into the bar after their meal and sat right by the door. Conveniently positioned for a quick exit I think.

The annoying thing was that a Police traffic car had been sat outside a couple of hours earlier, as the main road outside the pub is a bit of an accident/brainless driving blackspot. If they'd still been there we could've just sent them after the Impreza. Just the way it goes I guess. frown
