Down 3.3 kgs as of this morning which is 4.2% of my starting bodyweight. Pleased with that.
Will be measuring my waist tomorrow to see if that's gone down too - feels like my belts may be a little looser, not quite a hole, IYSWIM.
Similar here. From Weight I got down to before my honeymoon last year, hole 3, I started this year in hole 1 Will be measuring my waist tomorrow to see if that's gone down too - feels like my belts may be a little looser, not quite a hole, IYSWIM.

I’m not quite down to hole 2 size, but hole 1 has definitely got some slack. Most noticeably my damn shirt won’t stay tucked in!
Weekly weigh in,
Down to 98.2 from 99.3 last week, slow and steady is my plan, rather than just eat salad and then fall off the wagon and put it all back on ive just been trying to be sensible, not using MFP or anything.
Tonight im off to the pub to watch the Arsenal game, normally would get a large Dominos pizza to myself, instead I got some chicken out the freezer and will have that with some hot sauce and rice, not as healthy as some people would have, but ive not cut anything, just making better food decisions.
The gut was 44 inches, now 43, so seems to be going in the right direction.

Dropped to 16 st 5, been a good week, aim for next week is 16.4, anything else is a bonus.
Ultimate aim is 14 st 4, a nice, not quite as round 200 pounds.
Feel better already, work pants not filling me with dread when I go to put them on or making my eyes bulge, half a stone makes a decent difference but a long way to go, going to book a holiday for early August so that is my target, six months to lose 29 pounds, just over a pound a week.
Ultimate aim is 14 st 4, a nice, not quite as round 200 pounds.

Had a fantastic long weekend away last week, ate and drank like a lord as I knew I would, plenty of walking though so kept that up, came back and thought id struggle to get back to last week's weigh in weight, but kept strict food wise, and exercised most days ...... and dropped another 1.5kg, so total loss since I started is 7kg from a start point of 93.7kg.

My target is sub 14st this time. I used to maintain and be very comfortable in the 14-14'4 range a few years back, under 200lbs is a good thing.I think people peg you at a certain weight, ad think I am not fat, at least I am slimmer than him/her, sometimes then they get rattled and have to say something, and its not always nice.
Had one moment in the local when we saw our old neighbours and got chatting, they are maybe ten years older than us and enjoy a good life, he had piled on the pounds and was pretty large, his wife, always slender then had a go at him for getting to be so fat, why cant you lose weight and be the man I married like they have ? Poor sod had come for a night out and was getting harangued, was pretty awkward.
Will see how I feel when I get there.
Yep. People's perceptions are somewhat skewed these days.
At 74 kgs my BMI is 21.4 - midway in the 'healthy' range, yet most who comment on my appearance say I'm too skinny. I could easily drop another 5 kgs and still be well within the healthy band.
I know BMI is at best only a guide, but it's what we have.

I have an added incentive now to keep this going; our holiday plans for the year have changed, we were planning on a UK holiday in August with our dogs and then Peru in October/November, a combination of struggling to get the October/November time off work and also getting ahead of ourselves and not realising that Peru needs a bit more forward planning and advance payments for said planning, means that the Peru holiday is being moved to April 2020, so we are now going to Santorini in Greece, for 10 days in early August; I want to be as buff as I can be when strutting on the beach!!

I will take not corpulent and nobody tries to keep me moist before dragging me back to the sea ![biggrin](/inc/images/biggrin.gif)
Its funny though, you put all that effort in and apart from one or two super buff lads in their early twenties, most folk, even the slim ones look pretty doughy with no muscle and most folk are in some way overweight, not that its a competition and nobody really cares but its about how you feel rather than anyone else.
Taking your shirt off for a week is a good reality check and point in time to aim for.

That's an odd coincidence, I've just booked Peru for October - trekking the "Inca Trail" so definitely need to be in better shape for that. Can't wait for the lighter evenings so I can get out and do some exercise.First weigh-in for me is on Monday so we'll see how I'm doing then.
