Cracked heel

I am 46, and have suffered from cracked heels for many years. A couple of months ago, my doctor gave me Diprobase cream to use.

Now, here's the funny thing. My left heel is now (near) perfect but my right one is more cracked than ever (and very painful).

Gluing works to a certain extent (relieves the pain) but it is not a long term fix. If I wear my boots it reduces the pain but on a day off (so in slippers/bear feet/deck shoes etc) the foot gets more painful.

Any suggestions please.
