Hazard considered him the best player he'd every played with.
Pre match mind games, perhaps?Or is it referring to an older quote?

Oh this was back in the summer when he announced he was going to Chelsea. I suppose he might not of played with too many people but still... http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-...
Or maybe he knew Arsenal would be interested in someone better than him (or Chelski told him they'd bump up the wages if he recommends a dud. Unluckily for us, he pointed at Gervinho. Glassman said:

I'm not saying he's worth £75k pw but the guy is a centre forward that AW has insisted on playing out wide.

He is a natural striker, AW has to some extent trained that out of him and now he seems to think of the bkings coming his way rather than play his natural game.
Give him his head and free forward roaming position for a few matches, if by Xmas he doesn't deliver then by all means transfer list him. However I think his talent has not been nurtured but stilted and he may now never live up to his true potential. He would have done better than Gerv at the weekend though.
Big call saying he's a natural centre forward in my mind. Wenger has an incredible track record of taking young players and developing them.....Henry was a winger wwhen he bought him, Toure was a midfielder, Song was a Centre Half etc. Give him his head and free forward roaming position for a few matches, if by Xmas he doesn't deliver then by all means transfer list him. Wenger himself said he was playing him wide to learn his trade but let's face it his finishing has left a bit to be desired.
Wenger's bought a few Donkey's but he's never failed to maximise the talent of the players he has. I can't think of one player that has suprised when he's left. There are only a handful that have really prospered (in terms of medals) when they've left and all were well established at Arsenal.....Cesc, Cole, Nasti, Clichy....

Who the fk does he think he is ?
The next Theirry Henry. TW14 will never make a CF unless all Prem CBs suddenly lose 6" in height and 15kg body mass.
He isn't strong enough to play through the centre with his back to goal and he doesn't have any trickery in his play. Playing as a wide forward where he can maximise his one advantage is as good as it's ever gonna be.
As a contrast did anyone notice the first ball that was pinged up to Giroud after he came on - killed it, brought it down in close control then laid it off to the runner on his right, everything NB52 conspicuously failed to do in similar circumstances.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Theo sign for Liverpool in January and play up front for them.
Yup. Wenger won't play him now in the hope they can force him to move in January and get some money for him. Liverpool is a good shout...they will be desperate to sign someone in Jan.The points made about him not being the right player to play upfront above are very valid though. I suppose the nearest equivalent player in build would be Michael Owen.....but Walcott is nowhere near the finisher Owen was and doesn't have his first touch. He can't play with his back to goal effectively.
Love this....

Hopefully he'll give RVP the same treatment at Old Trafford.

You are right in everything you have said above but not everyone can be successfully converted. I can hardly think of any times AW played Theo through the middle - i'm sure he did in the league cup final against Chelski a few years back and i recall he scored a cracking goal starting with his back to goal. Anyway, one swallow doesn't make a summer and all that....Wenger himself said he was playing him wide to learn his trade but let's face it his finishing has left a bit to be desired.

When AW signed Theo he said he was too slight to play through the middle so would play out wide until he manned up (or words to that effect). We all know he isn't no natural winger and he must be a bit stronger than what he was when he joined so give him a go through the middle cause he surely cannot be any worse. Then if he isn't any good punt him!
Pretty dumb of Theo to say this openly to the press though.

Ian Wright, 'Nothing to Something'. Well worth giving up 27 minutes of your time to watch.
This should be played to all Arsenal players. Fantastic insight and quite moving.
Legend.
Éven as a Spurs fan I find it hard to dislike Ian Wright, a proper Englishman and a real football fan. This should be played to all Arsenal players. Fantastic insight and quite moving.
Legend.
Just a shame he chose to play for the wrong North London team.
