It's not really my field, but I was interested to see that four new elements have been formally accepted.

This stuff becomes more interesting as the island of stability is approached, but of more immediate concern is what to call the new elements. Here's a petition you might like to sign for 117 to be named Octarine.

I think elements should be named more scientifically or after the discoverer, not after fantasy novels.

Don't see why not - we have elements names after Marvel comic book characters and Disney cartoon characters
