Anyone else watch Horizon last night, focusing on space weather and sunspots etc? Some fascinating coverage of Cary Forest's bonkers machine to replicate the flux loops thought to be behind sunspots by essentially stirring a few hundred gallons of hot liquid sodium with two big fast contra-rotating propellors.... 'we'll run it remotely from outside the room!!'

Still not sure if the footage of halos etc emitting from the machine was CGI or actual... scary stuff, whatever; right out the Nikola Tesla book of things to try in a shed!
