Cheap car cleaning

In the spirit of Christmas
I thought I'd offer a money saving tip (so you can spend more of your hard-earned ![](http://www.pistonheads.com/include/images/drink.gif)
):
It's the time of year when your alloys are perpetually filthy. Rather than use expensive (and corrosive) cleaners try sugar soap (decorators use it for cleaning walls-try B&Q.) A strong solution in warm water is as effective as most dedicated cleaners and will not damage wheels/tyres (remember to rinse thoroughly.)A £2.49 tub is good for at least 40 washes (you won't need much unless your wheels are really grotty.)
