I love the Joe Macari dealership, I remember it being featured in a show about car salesman a while ago.
That was a brilliant show, they took that fella out of his cosy little town dealership in Wales if I remember correctly, and his enthusiasm was really genuine when he was at the Macari showroom.Resolutionary said:

Great show but it did highlight the snobbery in that game. I often try to imagine rocking up to somewhere like Tom Hartleys and trying to engage in a purchasing dance. I can only imagine the level of analysis that they undertake, assessing attire, accent, travel arrangements etc. I know some of it is necessary to weed out the dreamers but Id dread going to buy from them.
Probably the huge fried chip on my shoulder

Isn't it almost impossible to get tyres for these now?
Recent Harry’s Garage episode - Countach to Lamborghini Concours -indicated Pirelli had started offering them again IIRC. BuzzBravado said:

I'd rather buy from a specialist or a real enthusiast, not a lifestyle dealership where people go to functions and stare at the cars. I know some of it is necessary to weed out the dreamers but Id dread going to buy from them.

All of about 5 years ago, there was one of these for sale in red on carandclassic at circa 30k IIRC. I thought about it and decided it wouldn't be viable due to part costs etc. It truly is astounding that they have reached this value!
£40k and 6 years ago in yellow here:https://www.pistonheads.com/regulars/ph-spottedyky...
Some questions about those exceedingly uncommon tyres:
Assuming the same bolt pattern, would it be possible to fit slightly different wheels -- wheels for which more mainstream tyres are available?
Alternatively, could one just have a set of wheels made by one of the many aftermarket / bespoke wheel manufacturers? This of course would not be a low-cost solution. However, given the price of this vehicle, it's a not unreasonable way to end this matter, once and for all. The bespoke wheels could be manufactured to serve as close to the OEM spec as possible whilst maintaining fitment for readily-available tyres.
Just thinking aloud, here.

Yes and yes. Custom wheels which allow a more sensible fit (if available!) and keep the old ones wrapped up ready for sale day.Assuming the same bolt pattern, would it be possible to fit slightly different wheels -- wheels for which more mainstream tyres are available?
