Been caught out there a few times have you? It does seem to catch out the mouth breathers first, as you say.
No, I tend to find cars stay pointed the right way if you drive to the conditions. As for mouthbreathing, he’s not that bad...

No doubt there will be a weeks worth of pictures of Mrs. McGuinness in the papers, so traumatised that she has had to take her clothes off, or go shopping in her gym gear. Again.
No wonder he was driving on the ragged-edge, he's used to a couple of big airbags laugh

It was just a matter of time with these clowns. It was either him or Flintoff would stuff something. Not used to powerful cars. Simple.
Those two come across as complete knobs. And thick as st. Unvelievebly bad TV.

Surprised anyone still watches this crap. Even harris is enough for anyone to fall asleep.
Its still very popular, is it perfect ? No but what is, and can be entertaining. This is them driving some landmark cars, who doesnt want to see that even if you find the presenters boring and or clowns ? I think them being clowns is part of the programme, like the previous incumbents, its an entertainment programme for the general public that happens to be about cars. It isnt exactly a big commitment, I leave the Sky box thingy to hoover them up or go on iPlayer and scoot through them, if I am not keen I fast forward.

I quite like them, didn't expect to but they are alright, I really wouldn't call Chris Harris boring either, I would say he is very engaging and sticks to the subject, one he obviously knows very, very well and is massively passionate about.

I do wonder if some of us on here still take any joy from anything ? The misanthropy can reach Daily mail comments section levels sometimes. Its not like Clarkson, Hammond and May never had the odd mishap, Hammond regularly almost kills himself in the name of our entertainment.

I am sure Paddy McGuiness is suitably embarrassed about binning someone elses pride and joy, like any of us would be, none of us are immune from having an accident, they are still real people despite being on the telly.

Wonder how many of us have the full measure of a Diablo on a wet Yorkshire road ? or have even driven one, I would treat it like Jim from Friday night Dinner regards Wilson his Alsatian, guessing for filming they cant just amble round at idle either.

Very true I’d say

I’d imagine the other 2 are attention-demanding on a damp, heavily-cambered road too

Sad event but even experts crash

He should have listened to Clarkson's advice - https://youtu.be/vGsOS3rRJ7Y?t=400

My Cerbera snapped sideways a few times without warning in the wet on me, even when I was in a straight line going steady. I'd expect something like a Diablo to be ten times worse in those conditions for sure.

I always respected my Cerbera in the wet but it still tried to bite me! Maybe I'm getting old...but I quite like the security of 4wd now in the wet!

But this is the internet; no place for sensible comments like the above.

The new TG is fr from perfect but it’s definitely had its moments. The last season with this group was better.

I think most car journos have had mishaps; Harris was talking about some he had in his Evo days on his podcast.

He sounds young and fresh out of public school in that video. It's before the fags got to him.

I don't hold anything in regard to cars said by Flintoff or Paddy and they're not natural on screen. Before someone says they're used to tv work, one of them hosts take me out...

I don't doubt Harris' knowledge or driving ability but I think he is one of the most tedious people and its excruciating watching him trying to be entertaining on a show like top gear. I know theres a mutual love in for him on here but I would wager those who love him are just as boring.

Therefore, for me, top gear is unwatchable and as I alluded to earlier it was only a matter of time before one of these had an accident of this magnitude.

Flintoff owns a Murcielago, so I'd argue he's prob got more experience driving these powerful cars than most people commenting rubbish on here.

I didn't realise being an owner of a car means you're immune to crashing it. Great insight there.

Yes, he probably has got more experience than you. Good of you to admit to posting rubbish.

Of this magnitude? It's pretty minor, it's not like it's an entire Rimac up in flames or one of the many other cars that have been damaged or destroyed in filming of old top gear.

As to the rest of your comment, well of course. It's obvious the more you expose yourself to risk the higher the chances of something happening.

Yeah, but you said "Not used to powerful cars. Simple."

Nobody said they are immune to crashing them. I am however, totally immune to crashing Lamborghini's as I dont own one. I dont think many actual owners are immune judging by how many there are getting rebuilt or crashing on YouTube at any one time. They do seem a bit "crashy", thats if they dont catch fire first that is.

I think it's pretty obvious those two haven't had the type of experience in their lives with cars testing compared to Harris for example- who has had a fair few crashes too - simply owning a supercar doesnt put you in that category.

And anyway we're talking about paddy McGuinness. I don't think hammond, clarkson or may had any crash like that on a public road in a normal setting - all hammonds crashes were on tracks or closed roads with the onus on achieving high speed and or lap times. Any other crashes by those three were for comedic effect. If there are any genuine crashes please share with us??

That shows with inexperience from Paddy and I'm not surprised if it happens again. He's jumped in a diablo and thought he was Billy big balls.

Has Clarkson ever crashed in a similar Hammond / McGuiness way?
