Why do you have to have a washing system for a higher output light? Surely the lower output system is more in need of keeping clean in order for you see where your going?

I believe the official reason is that light diffraction caused by dirt on the lens can dazzle other drivers and this is more of a concern with higher light output, how or why the limit is set at 2000 lumen I have no idea!
