Is it bullet proof ?
They have put holes in it already so the bullets just pass through without damaging it.

I may have done the maths wrong but I made the cost to be £ ($?) 330,000 per unit. That's a lot for a stripped down chassis and a drivetrain. Even if it includes the through-life spares and maintenance.
There will be millions of dollars of engineering costs involved. They aren’t visible when GM build 100,000 of something a year for 5 years, But a few hundred and it is very obvious.
If their procurement process is anything like as poor as the MOD's you've got to add in not just development costs but development costs of the 5 projects they bid on but didn't win. The MOD changes their requirements over and over and over again increasing bidders costs and dragging out the process over years. They start off wanting a Kia by the end they want an IED resistant, submersible Pagani. With wings. Then they frequently cancel entire program. All the waste and inefficiency gets rolled up into the price of the next project. If there aren't many units the cost per unit can look rather eyewatering. Lastly these programmes can include life time spares supply; often to where the vehicle is in service; you can't typically dhl an engine to Kandahar!

How odd not to have anything to protect the radiator (never mind occupants).

I can imagine that is easy to puncture.
OMG!!!

The LRDG and SAS kept half the German Afrika Corps quaking in their pants waiting for a surprise night time attack in WW2. They destroyed hundreds of aircraft, destroyed fuel dumps and bases across North Africa and effectively routed the Italians out of most of their territory. Germany had to send in Rommel and the Afrika Corps to stabilise things. We all know how that turned out.

They achieved all that with this.... And you think they were worried about the radiators?

oh well, if it worked in WW2 then should be fine now huh ?
banghead

oh and add a WTF in capitals for good measure smile
