Anyone know this car/driver?

Nice sunny evening out for a drive in his Stag along the A40 into London with a lady in the passenger seat. Spotted him catching up with me near Perivale, undertaking and generally driving like many do along that road (I was doing 40-43 on the speedo in a 40 limit in a flow of traffic). Fair enough a bit of undertaking, naughty but not pushy. I pull in and he passes me into Hanger Lane underpass, then zigzag under/overtakes around a bunch of other cars ahead. Suddenly he's in front of me again due to traffic slowing and bad planning on his part. Now passing Aston dealership/BP garage on the A40. Astra in middle lane is in the spot Stag-man wants, he gets angry, does an emergency stop and gets out to menace Astra driver (who was stuck due to cars in front). I pull up behind and sit on the horn for the next 20 seconds or so, as does rest of the A40 behind me. Stag man gets back in and moves his car in front of Astra and gets out. Biggish bloke, not the pipe and slippers Stag driving type. Gives up, gets in and burns off again.

Oh, and his passenger had a child sat on her lap.

If anyone knows him, please direct him to this thread for an explanation.

Explanation seems easy enough. The guy is a massive tool.

Astra can't move but get's an earful? Nice.

Were you videoing? Just wondered how you managed to get such a clear shot of the car.

Mrs with iPhone, lucky shot. Deleted 3 others which were out of focus.

I'm considering getting a Roadhawk or similar just to save myself from hassle if this kind of thing happens, but we have 3 cars so I'd want 3 sets of mountings/installs.

THAT

is out of order IMO. Worth reporting to the police just for that.

I really like Stags, what a shame one is in the hands of such an oaf.

Maybe he doesn't even know what it is.

I too wonder why folks post this stuff on here, like the driver will come and explain himself, I'd have called the non-emergency local plod line myself and let them deal with the berk.
Just for a chat I suppose, it's an interesting story to read for a minute, hence the term "General-Gassing" for the forum name.

Apathy. Would they really do anything? How much of my time would it take?

I spend a lot of time in the Middle East and see really bad driving all the time. I tend to just let them get on with it and do my best to avoid accidents . However this one was right in front of me in a memorable petrolhead-wagon and we got a photo of the p1llock. So I thought I'd post on my favourite Internet forum and see if anyone knew him/it.

Edited to add: and now his registration is top of Google's results if he looks for it smile

Bet it has no rear seat belts installed.

He might go one step further next time and smash someone's face in. If he received a visit from the police, it might coax him to calm down a bit. They do take these reports seriously (well, Cheshire Police do), and will visit the home of the registered keeper.

That's reassuring, however this incident happened in London, where the police are as much use as a chocolate fireguard.

The Met have a crime clear-up rate of around 4% at the moment (yes, for 20 crimes committed in London more than 19 go 'unsolved') and I can tell you exactly what they would do with an incident like this. Nothing.

OP - as has already been said, the guy is just a massive bellend.

Oli.

That describes 90% of people in London at the moment.

My Stag had rear belts and mounts for a child seat, so the driver of this one was indeed a massive tool!
