odd friday question

Whilst watching traffic cops the other day, one of the police cars pulled into a petrol station to fill up and for some reason left me wondering how they pay for petrol ? Do emergency services have special petrol cards ?

Also taxis (bleck cabs), why do some have a square piece of cardboard/wood covering the radiator

think I just need a beer

cheers

Michael

The police just steal the petrol.

The cardboard is there to stop bits of cyclist frying against the radiator.

Nothing special about the cards, just run of the mill cards available to anyone.

On the taxis the covering on the radiator is to get the engine up to temperature in winter.
Or to stop it cooling down too much.
Either way for engine temps.
I think. I once knew someone who had a cover on half of the grill on his kitcar in winter and im assuming this is why.

We have fuel cards, with "no nectar points" stamped on them
