I'm up to episode 4 right now on Spotify. I listen to podcasts to fill the time on the long train journeys whilst contracting for work.

Did a search for top 2019 podcasts and this one came top of the list. I don't want to go into too much detail but after the first episode I could have been physically sick. First podcast where I have grimaced consistently at what this apparsnt qualified surgeon was up to. Decided I was going to quit the podcast but persevered.

As far as I know he went to the best schools in the US, but wow just wow the amount of trust his patients put in him. And for him to do what he did, I even lay some of the blame with his peers and how they should have categorically stopped him from practicing after all the horror he inflicted.

I listen to many podcasts. Peter Crouch, Micheal Bispings 'Believe you Me' , Joe Rogan, True crime etc.

But I gotta say, if you do decide to listen try not to quit. No matter how disturbing it may be.

And for those with chronic back pain? I would avoid this one.

Cheers

It’s absolutely brilliant, isn’t it. When listening to the podcast on the drive into work, my wife and I would just look at each other in shock and swear. Completely mad.

Yeah this is a nasty one.

I thought the podcast title was hyperbole and entered into it expecting the usual podcast type stuff. 'Horrific' is the right word.

I only managed the first episode before stopping and deleting it off my phone.

Sounds interesting; I know nothing about it. How does the protagonist stack up against Harold Shipman in terms of "Blimey; what a cold evil bd-ness?"

Listening now. Maybe I'm a bit twisted, but it's not horrific. It's grim, but not making me feel sick or anything. Maybe I'm just a bit broken.

No I agree. It is shocking but I don't get the feeling sick thing at all.

On the basis of this thread downloaded and onto episode 3 now.

Its not that bad, grim as said but more moments of WTF and shocking to think what the Doc did.

Interesting stuff so far for me.

I've finished it now. First podcast I've listed to. Very interesting. Still maintain the OP is a fanny (who probably works for a tabloid)

I gave up after listening to a couple of them after he is in jail. The quality dropped off noticeably.
