'Thank you' at give way to oncoming traffic junctions
Discussion
I pass threee of these give way to oncoming traffic junctions on my way to work and notice that the majority of people give an acknowledgement as I do with a thank you gesture.

t and decided that the give way isn't meant for you, causing the oncoming car to slam their brakes. This tends to happen a couple of times a month usually by some late for work moron in the morning.
So do you say 'thank you' or just go through regardless as you have right of way?
