I've decided to put one of my cars into long term storage and was wondering the best way to do it.

It'll be stored at the back of my garage in the dry under a dust cover. I was just going to swap the wheels for some crappy spare ones (to avoid flat spotting the current wheels), fill the engine to the brim with oil, disconnect the battery, and that's about it.

If I don't intend to use it for a few years (eg at least 5), what else should I do? Use up all the petrol in the tank I assume (but I don't really want to start draining fuel lines etc unless you think it's absolutely necessary) and I'll probably prise the brake calipers apart slightly to avoid any binding. I've got a cat (a real one who's a good mouser) so don't need to worry about mice getting in the wiring loom etc.

Anything else I should do?
