Mrs Q has a Citroen C1 on lease which is due to go back in 5 months. However, it requires new front tyres but as she will now be commuting to Sheffield over those 5 (winter) months, I would like to get some winter tyres for it. The thing is, will I be able to hand it back with them on, or would I need to get some summer/all season tyres back on? I can't find anything in the terms that specifically mentions tyres.

Secondly, the recent service noted uneven wear/corrosion across the rear surface of the brake disc. I was quoted £270 for replacing them, but I can get replacement discs and pads (Brembo, so not ebay specials) for around £70 and then fit myself. I know technically this would breach the terms of the lease, but I can't believe they would go as far as removing the wheels to check parts before accepting the car back. Has anyone else done this or changed other parts for non-OEM before returning a lease car?
