997.2 GT3 or 991.2 GTS

Thinking of returning to the Porsche fold after a 9 year absence, and I have a dilemma (putting my tin hat on in anticipation of some flack)
For similar money, I can buy a 2011 GT3 (997.2) comfort spec in beautiful condition, low miles. Or an almost new 991.2 GTS (Cabrio - but ignore that for now) with less than 1k miles and a two year porsche warranty.

I always thought I wanted a GT3, but I have a sneaky suspicion that the GTS might be more usable and actually more drivable everyday (not that it will be an everyday car). The GT3 is still way over list even after 7 years, so I am wondering if it will drop by much, whereas the GTS is around list although it's a year old.
