In light of the cancellation of tomorrow's meet at The Cotswold Barn, for those who were planning to attend, I've arranged an alternative venue 10 minutes away.

I've just got off the phone to the owner. There is car parking for 40-50 cars across the two cafe/restaurants.
For those attending, please do NOT all arrive at the same time.
I've said we number 90 cars and we'd like to arrive between 9.00am and 12.00.

For those that wish to attend please state your arrival time in this thread and once the first 35-40 slots have been filled, the next arrival slot will be 10.30.

The venue will also remain open to the general public, so please be considerate where and how you park.

There is seating for roughly 60 people in the cafe/restaurant, though I've said we'll most likely want drinks and cakes to take away rather than fill the restaurant up. Bacon butties to take away will also be available.

The venue's parking charges will be waived for those attending !!

The venue is :

https://broadwaytower.co.uk/morris-brown-cafe-shop...

They also have another, smaller cafe on the same site :

https://www.visit-broadway.co.uk/places-to-eat/tow...

So between the two eateries, there should be parking for 60 cars, but rather than swamp them all in one hit at 9.00am, I said we'd stagger our arrivals. Please respect this arrangement.

Ok, recce undertaken, I think IF we're sensible, we can probably accommodate 60-70 cars. Bear in mind that this is the car park for those wanting to visit Broadway tower too, so there will be members of the public there.

The main car park area/s close to the Morris and Brown cafe/restaurant. This, as can be seen from the photos, will be suitable for all cars from GT3 RS to Dakars :

The secondary parking area close to the Tower Barn espresso bar :

As you approach the Tower Barn espresso bar, parking is on the right, low stuff will be fine, for those with more ground clearance, you can park in the area at the bottom of the hill directly outside the espresso bar.

The two cafes are 2-3 minutes walk apart.

The forecast looks reasonable, with a 5% chance of rain all morning.

Be aware the venue's are atop Middle Hill and whilst the views are spectacular, it's exposed and windy. SO WRAP UP WELL !!!

No need to tell me gents, just post what time you're planning on arriving and hopefully all those who plan on attending will read the thread before setting off tomorrow morning, and do the maths/work out when the 9.00 slot is full.

Please do not park on the access road (Buckle Street) from the A44 to the venue, or the access roads within the venue.

Red arrows = Access along Buckle Street. As the lane kinks left in front of the Morris & Brown cafe, there is an entrance gateway in front of you. This was locked when I recce'd the joint at 5.00 this evening. It may be open tomorrow morning.
If it's not, continue along Buckle Street and there's another entrance a 200 metres further along the lane on the right. It is tarmac, and though there's a dip halfway along it, keep to the left and you shouldn't have any ground clearance issues.

Yellow arrow = The Main parking area.

Turquise arrow = Tower Barn Espresso bar parking area

The Tower Barn cafe can be accessed either vai the main gate (if it's open) or through the main parking area.

Well, firstly thank you to Nurburgsingh for doing all the hard work and getting the meet arranged, only to for it to go pear shaped yesterday.

But just as big a thank you to all those that made the effort to show up this morning. It was greatly appreciated.

I didn’t count the numbers, but I estimate close to 50 of you must have attended today, so I think that’s a pretty impressive turnout all things considered.

I emailed 51 of you last night, unfortunately the PH accounts of at least 12-14 of you who’d planned on attending, weren’t accepting emails, and after I’d successfully emailed 50 of you, PH’s email system probably thought I was spamming the remaining accounts, and wouldn’t allow me to send mails to them.

I was the last to leave this morning, having met the operations manager of the venue to discuss the possibility of organising a mid-summer meet either this year or next.

My thoughts being an after hours meet close to mid-summers day would hopefully ensure warmer, better weather, and allow for more cars, and a pleasant evening for all.

Keeping the doors open would however mean the venue would need to charge to cover the staff costs.

If this could be arranged, I suggested we’d want drinks, both hot, cold and alcoholic, along with food of some description ?

If you could let me know what sort of food/snacks you’d like for such a meet, do please make your suggestions, and I can then go back to venue and ask if they’re able to provide them and what the cost per car/head would be.

Once again, a big thank you to all today’s attendees, your support was very much appreciated.
